Lon-Done

Chris Brown said it best. "There's never a right time to say good-bye."

London..faster than I thought it came and now it's going. So for the sake of making me sad about leaving I'm going to reminisce the staples of London. The best and most frequent things here that made me fall in love with this place.

the 94"94..to..Acton Green"- The best bus in the world. All the way from Piccadilly Circus down Oxford Street to Palace Court. For those of you who haven't experienced a double decker bus..you MUST! I may just have the mentality of a five year old, but there is NOTHING better than getting the front seat on top of the bus. if you stand up and lean so your forehead is smashed against the glass it feels like your on the ride Soarin' over California. You see all the people, shops, and cars. It's the best way to see London.
Oxford Street is beautiful this time of year, lights are strung across the wide streets and people are Christmas shopping and drinking hot chocolate...it's kind of magical

Yogurt-no it's not JUST yogurt. It's much much more than that. Okay so Yoplait yogurt makes me gag, it's a problem, I just have a hard time with yogurt...Until Muller yogurts came into my life. They are the perfect consistency. and sometimes they have ones that have little chocolate candies in them. It's a Beautiful way to start the morning.

Stairs- It's not that I'll miss them...they were just VERY apparent here in good 'ol London town. Living in a tall skinny falt = stairs! coming from the tube to ground level= stairs! Walking up to the balcony of St.Pauls Cathedral =LOTS of stairs!

Hyde Park- I guess the only reason why it's a staple is because it's so close to the London Centre. Hyde Park is the best place to run. It's all flat which is IDEAL for those of us who try to work as little as possible while WORKING out. We've played football, American football, gone on power walks and laid out. But I would have to say that my favorite part is the Winter Wonderland park that was just put up for the Christmas season. If anyone is from Utah think of Orem Summer Fest christmas style. Anyone else just think a gathering of cultural white trash, plenty of dodgy carnival ride and over priced treats and hot dog vendors...a little piece of heaven on earth.

TUBE - Like little gophers we go down into the ground and come up in a different place. At this point I've pretty much got the tube map memorized. Sometimes there is no one there and sometimes you are awkwardly stand spooning three different strangers. But that's the way the tube works. You see some great people on there. I think i've spent most of my time in London underground

oh and last but certainly not least Peanut Butter and Nutella - I think these substances have entered my body nearly every day. For the sake of not spending money on lunch we make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches...OR...Peanut Butter and Nutella....OR...Nutella and Jam...OR why not all three. These combinations did wonderful things for my taste buds...haha and not soo much my body. But I can't imagine my semester without them.
